I graduated from university and decided to go to Hong Kong to teach English for a year. I found HKEDU, and I am so happy I did! I ended up staying for three years. Living and working in Hong Kong was an amazing experience that I enjoyed every single minute of. The job itself was so rewarding, teaching young learners English was so much fun and I felt at home in the school I was placed in. Maggie and the HKEDU team were so helpful and really looked after me, helping with visas, healthcare and anything I might have needed! I definitely recommend it!

Working with HKEDU was a great experience for many reasons. They provide you with a visa and medical card on arrival and offer all of the support and advice you may need to apply for and obtain your HKID and bank accounts. They also guarantee you an ESL teaching job in a kindergarten and provide housing if you require. Maggie is also incredibly helpful when it comes to day-to-day questions about life, culture, transport, bills etc. in Hong Kong. All of this made the initial process of moving to Hong Kong, and the first few months of living here, much less daunting. The company put on several social events each year, the first one being early in the academic year (August/September), which is a great opportunity to meet like-minded people and make new friends. The school I was placed in was an easy commute from my apartment, had amazing staff, unlimited resources and adequate time to plan and prepare for my lessons I’m so glad I chose to move to Hong Kong as I have had a wonderful experience working with HKEDU and made life long friends through the company.
